Vmplayer

I've had great fun today just playing around and learning how to use 'vmplayer' from Vmware and once its set up its very easy to run, for example, kubuntu as a virtual machine within my centos setup. Karanbir from centos.karan.org gave me a lot of support and encouragement, and also provided the secondary named files.

Now all I have to do is to remember to open a terminal in its relevant vmplayer folder, and then just issue this command 'vmplayer Blank_Image.vmx', and watch it all opening up before my eyes. At the moment I'm only running live-CD's under vmplayer, I need to reorganize my hard drives to create a space where I can install some of the distro's. But, I've already had a play with live-cd's of mepis, kubuntu and ubuntu, great fun.

Blog update.

If you've been following this blog extremely closely you'll have seen lots of very small changes in its setup today which was whilst I was updating the software for it. Hopefully all the little bugs are ironed out now, and it'll resume its former stable state. But, if it hasn't I can still revert to the original setup, although it does seem to be working for me.
